At ToteLab, we strive to give lesser-known artists around the world more spotlight while working towards a more sustainable future for the fashion industry. In efforts to reduce our ecological footprint, it is our philosophy to have a community of people who enjoy an artistic take on style and are also involved with sustainability.
Our vision is a world where fashion goes hand-in-hand with green and sustainable thinking - one where the clothing industry is no longer among the most significant contributors to climate change. Furthermore, our primary goal is to have a large and continually changing pool of artists from around the world. This makes sure every artist has a chance of showing their talent with us and gets the right level of exposure.
To work towards this vision, we put the focus of our values in finding new artists and implementing sustainable practices to our business. Through our service and business practices, we believe in building a relationship based on trust, privacy, and transparency with our customers.
Our Products & Practices
To move closer to achieving our mission and vision, we have made several important decisions regarding our products.
We offer both polyester and organic cotton bags. The reason for including polyester bags is that organic cotton is stained and broken more easily than polyester. This leads to cotton bags having a much shorter product life cycle compared to polyester bags. Of course, a bag's life cycle also depends on who is using it. For this reason we give you, the consumer, the opportunity to decide for yourself whether you need a bag for heavy or casual usage - leading to a more eco-friendly decision. You can read more about the reasoning behind which materials we use on our blog post here.
Additionally, for every purchase made at ToteLab, we plant one tree with one of our partnering NGOs. We are continuously looking for ways to further integrate green thinking into our products and business model. If you have an idea or potential partnership, we are more than happy to hear about it. Let us know by writing us a message through our contact us page, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Are you an artist?
If you have an idea or artwork you think could create waves, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or check our FAQ for more information. After receiving your message, we will go over your proposal, and get back to you as soon as possible. You will always be given credit and will retain rights over your art.
