The answer isn't always as simple as "organic is better." If you're stuck between deciding between which is the more eco-friendly material for your new bag, we can help you decide. Keep in mind; these examples are only meant for guidance.
Some examples of when organic cotton might be a better option:
You are mostly using it for school or college,
You do not stain your garments easily,
You live in a climate with relatively little wear on textiles.
Some examples of when polyester might be a better option:
You live in a climate with four-seasons or extreme weather,
You often carry sharp or heavy things,
You plan on washing your bag frequently.
We talk about this more in-depth in our blog post here.
Our products offer a flat price and the tax will be added at checkout. In most states, you do not have to pay sales tax to ToteLab. Should you have to pay taxes, they will be explicitly stated during checkout.
If you no longer want to receive our newsletter, you can unsubscribe from the mailing list. To do so, you need to click on the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email sent by ToteLab. Alternatively, you can also send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and state that you don't want to receive emails from us.
Note: Emails relating to orders do not have an "unsubscribe" link in the bottom. This is because order-related emails are necessary and not saved in our system, except for fulfilling orders.
Yes, yes, yes! We are always looking to give more exposure to both international and local artists. If you want to send a proposal to us, you can do so through our contact page or by writing to us directly at email@example.com.
Keep in mind, you will always retain all rights over your art, and you will always be given credit for your design(s).
We recommend checking around the website to see if your art style matches ours. While we are open to different takes on art, the designs should thematically match ToteLab. If you aren't sure if we would be interested in your offer, we suggest sending it anyways - maybe your design will be the next best-seller!
In our products, we always use organic cotton and polyester. We also use polyester for our bags, since polyester lasts much longer and requires less washing. We go in-depth about why we use certain materials in our blog post here.
For packaging, we try to do our best to minimize waste and source eco-friendly packaging materials. Most of our packaging materials are recyclable and biodegradable. For example, the bubble wraps are made from a minimum of 15% recycled plastic and 10% post-consumer content.
Additionally, for each product you purchase, we plant one tree with OneTreePlanted.
For every purchase you make, we donate a part of the purchase to a non-profit organization called One Tree Planted. By the end of 2018, One Tree Planted had already planted 2.5 million trees. In 2019 they expect to have planted 4 million trees - in just one year!
If you need to change anything regarding the order, we recommend contacting ToteLab at firstname.lastname@example.org soon as possible. Since we start creating your order almost right after receiving it, we are, in most cases, unable to make any changes after the order is placed.
If something arrives damaged, send pictures to us at email@example.com as soon as possible. Once we've confirmed it was damaged during delivery or due to our error, we'll gladly send a replacement to you at no cost.
Shipping costs will be reimbursed for returns if the received product is in the original condition and if the shipping cost does not exceed the initial shipping costs of the order. If the order's return cost exceeds the original delivery cost, only the original delivery cost will be reimbursed.
You are not entitled to receive a reimbursement for exchanges. Instead, the reimbursement costs will be used to ship the exchange item to you. For the exchange item, we will use a delivery option that best matches the expenses incurred to you.
If your refund has taken too long or is missing, follow the next steps.
First, we ask you to double-check your bank account.
Then, contact your bank. Depending on the payment method used, it may take some time until your refund is displayed. Keep in mind, some banks have a longer processing time than others, and the banks could also be experiencing delays on their side.
If you still have issues after following the steps above, please contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
